Rebecka Hemse pays tribute to Peter Haber for his support after the miscarriage

They play father and daughter in “Beck” – and even outside the recordings they have become close.
Now Rebecka Hemse shares a memory with Peter Haber, which meant a lot.
– I was going to film and was very shaken, because I had suffered a miscarriage. It was very difficult to know how to behave and who to talk to. I was so unsure and then I called Peter, she says in “Vilket Liv!”.

Peter Haber got the role of the police officer Martin Beck in 1997 and since then has made over 50 films. For just as long, Rebecka Hemse has played the role of his daughter Inger Beck – she was only 19 when the “Beck” films started. Playing father and daughter for almost 30 years has left its mark.

– It happens that people think I’m Peter Haber’s daughter, so it can get a bit complicated. My own father can be a little sooty sometimes, says Rebecka Hemse in “Vilket liv!”.

Praises the action after the miscarriage

They have grown close over the years of recording. Now Hemse opens up about an event that meant a lot.

– I was going to film and was very shaken, because I had suffered a miscarriage. It was very difficult to know how to behave and who to talk to. I was so unsure and then I called Peter.

She praises Peter Haber for how he handled the situation.

– He took care of it in a way that meant an incredible amount to me. He created space and place and took responsibility like a real father for me in that situation. It created a very strong bond for me.

“Very important to me”

Not long after the miscarriage, they recorded a scene in “Beck” where Rebecka Hemse’s character has a child.

– It was also very special. We were standing there with a newborn baby on BB. We had this whole backstory. It was very significant for me.
