What are the health risks?
Listeria monocytogenes can cause listeriosis, a serious infection that can cause fever, headache, and body aches. This disease can be particularly dangerous for pregnant women, the elderly, and people with weakened immune systems. In severe cases, neurological complications or fetal damage can occur. The incubation period for listeriosis can be up to eight weeks.
People who have consumed the “products” mentioned above and who have a fever, whether isolated or accompanied by headaches, and body aches, are invited to consult their doctor and report this consumption.
Consumers who have purchased these chipolatas are advised to stop consuming them and to destroy them. A refund is possible by returning the product to the point of sale where it was purchased, even without a receipt.
