(Telestock) – The Italian Sport Economy is worth 3.9% of GDP national 2023 and represents a business card of excellence to promote the value and values that characterize Made in Italy. This and much more was discussed today, September 20, 2024, at the event entitled “How Italy creates economic and social value through sport” held at the Italian Embassy in London.
The initiative, organized by Ifis Bank in collaboration with the Embassy, it was also an opportunity to present the economic impact forecasts that the Olympic and Paralympic Games of Milan-Cortina 2026 will have on the development of the Italian sports economy and, more generally, of the country system.
The event was opened by institutional greetings from the Italian Ambassador to the United Kingdom, Inigo Lambertini. Next, Carmelo CarbottiHead of Strategic Marketing & Research of Banca Ifis, presented the data from the Observatory on the Italian Sport System which were commented on in a round table attended by: Anna FerrinoCEO Ferrino SpA and President of Assosport; David LittleCEO Kappa; Matthew CassinaOwner & CEO of Passoni. Closing the evening was the Consul General of Italy in London, Domenico Bellantone.
The event anticipates the Italy Run weekendthe non-competitive foot race organized for the first time by the Consulate General, scheduled in Kensington on Sunday September 22, 2024.
