When the police were to check some young people in the district of Berga in Linköping shortly before 11 pm on Friday evening, the young people chose to run away from a forest grove.
– The police patrol on site got the feeling that there could be something interesting by the forest there and therefore chose to cordon off the place, says Angelica Israelsson Silfver, police spokesperson.
Dog handlers were called there and found some kind of weapon.
Of the group of young people who ran from the scene, the police arrested three later during the evening and night.
– All three are boys aged 16–18, says Angelica Israelsson Silfver.
They are now under arrest on probable cause, suspected of serious weapons offences. The investigation is therefore led by the public prosecutor’s office.
