KuPS and HPS, who were tied for second place, met in a football National League match in Kuopio. KuPS took the lead in the battle for silver medals when they won 2–0.
Lavdije Begolli took KuPS into the lead in the 51st minute with his handsome header. Pink Ariyo completed the Kuopio team’s second goal about ten minutes later.
The teams still have four matches left. KuPS is now three points ahead of HPS. HJK is on its way to the championship. It is the one who played the least in the match, eight points away from Kuopio.
