The only points of the men’s hockey league on Thursday were distributed on Thursday in Kouvola.

Home team KooKoo went without points for the first time in more than three and a half years when they hosted KalPa from Kuopio. The full pot of three points went to Savoia with a 4–3 away win.

KalPa’s escape was guaranteed by the goals of the 28-year-old American center, who is playing his first season in Finland Patrick Curry and a 26-year-old defender who joined Leijon last season Jesper Mattila. Tuomas Kiiskinen and hit empty Andreas Okany ensured the away victory with their goals in the final minutes, although KooKoo pushed the visitors with two narrow goals that came in the last 73 seconds.

– Maybe it wasn’t our best as a whole, but in a bad set we dug for the win. Even fools were supposed to win. In the second game in a row, we played with wins. You can’t let this kind of banter continue forever, the same points are shared in the third or 59th match of the season, commented KalPa captain Kiiskinen in an interview with MTV’s Katsomo.

KalPa’s goalkeeper Juha Jatkola22, blocked his first three-point victory in the matches he played in Kouvola.
