A bad knee injury ended Lotta Lindstroms season after one

Finnish striker Lotta Lindström’s season in England ended after one match.

HJK’s star striker Lotta Lindström moved to London City Lionesses, who play at the second highest league level in England, in February.

Lindström, who scored 17 goals in the National League last season for HJK and won the goal exchange, has a 3.5-year contract.

Lindström’s start in the Lionesses team was excellent, as he managed to score three Championship goals in the spring.

Lindström played 71 minutes in the first match of the now-started Championship season, a 1–1 draw against Newcastle. He was starting a Swedish national team legend Kosovare Asllanin equalizer.

In the second match of the season against Blackburn Rovers, the Finn was no longer in the lineup.

Now the club has announced that Lindström has injured the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) of his knee. It means that Lindström has to be operated on and the season is over.
