It is common for skiers to go to villages in the Alps during the summer to maximize their training in beautiful views and high mountains. This is exactly what the Swedish national skiing team did during the month of September. The national team visited the Italian village of Lavazé. However, the trip was not what the profiles in the national ski team had expected.

When you go to Italy to train, you count on favorable weather conditions for training activities. However, that was not what the Swedish national skiing team got to experience. In an interview with The Express says the skiing star Ebba Andersson about the weather.
– The hope was to extend the summer a bit, but the weather has been better at home in Östersund. That’s saying a lot.
“It was terrible”
Frida Karlsson tells Expressen about the trip:
– The first week we sat outside and had breakfast in 20 degree heat and could train in sports tops and shorts. Then there were three undergarments and cover clothes. So clearly a complete turnaround.
She goes on to talk about what sounds like a terrible time:
– Everyone came in and laughed. You could hear screams in the shower because people were standing and thawing their hands. It was terrible. But now we have started to get used to it.
