Kelly Reilly brings clarity to Yellowstone chaos surrounding season 6

Yellowstone was actually supposed to end this year with part 2 of season 5. But three weeks ago we received the news that the hit series would be getting a sixth season after all. To make the confusion complete, several stars publicly said goodbye to their roles after filming ended. Will Yellowstone get a sixth season or will the series end after season 5? Beth actress Kelly Reilly is now shedding some light on the matter.

Yellowstone ends with season 5, but for a few stars, season 6 is possible

Yellowstone is working hard on its epic season 5 finale. With Kevin Costner not returning to his role as John Dutton, Yellowstone unleashes a family feud between three siblings in the new episodes. According to the short teaser trailer, it’s about who will carry on the legacy of the iconic eponymous ranch. But will this legacy also be extended to season 6? Beth actress Kelly Reilly explained to EW what is currently certain and what is not:

It could potentially another chapter [von Yellowstone] This is what is currently being discussed. Nothing is set in stone. But if Taylor Sheridan wants to write it, I would want to play it. That’s the way it is.

So there are talks about a 6th season of Yellowstone, but a final decision has not yet been made. The fact that Reilly recently accepted the lead role in the crime series Under Salt Marsh will probably fill the actress’ schedule for the time being. In addition, such backroom negotiations reveal far too much about who will survive the 5th season finale of Yellowstone and who will not.

Yellowstone’s Beth actress Kelly Reilly has a condition for her season 6 return

Kelly Reilly is obviously attached to her Yellowstone role and would return for series creator Taylor Sheridan. Nevertheless, she would need a Change for Bethto continue playing Yellowstone’s Frozen Queen after 5 seasons:

Taylor Sheridan wrote every line of dialogue I have ever [als Beth] It was a product of his imagination. But we both agree that a shift must take place. Because you can not always the same story tell. This story ends. Yellowstone as we know it is ending. If it is with to tell some of the characters more stories it will be a little different.
