Payday 3 brings a fan-requested feature and players are celebrating it

The developers of Payday 3 are still actively working on the title. A new update brings a new feature that has been well received by players.

What kind of game is this? Payday 3 is a heist game that was released on Steam on September 21, 2023. Here you can go out with your friends to complete spectacular heists.

After being one of the most requested games on Steam before its release, the game failed miserably at launch. However, the developer studio Starbreeze is not leaving it at that and is continuing to actively work on the title to improve the experience for players.

A new feature has now been introduced into the game, which has been well received by players and has also increased the number of players somewhat.

Even a bank robber has basic needs

What kind of function is this? The latest feature that has found its way into the game is the ability to pause the game. This was not possible in this form before.

To ensure that no single player can interrupt the round and spoil the fun for the other players, all participants in the current round must agree to the break for it to take place.

How does the community react to this? While Payday 3 usually had a 24-hour peak of just under or over 1,000 players in the weeks before the update, the peak looked much better the day after the update at 3,834, according to steamdb.info.

One day later, there were still 2,965 players in the 24-hour peak. But even these numbers seem low when you compare them to the all-time peak, which is 77,938 simultaneous players and was reached when the game was released.

The developers seem to be on the right track with the recent updates. If you look at the game’s reviews on Steam, there are 61% positive reviews in the last 30 days.

In comparison, the total reviews the game has received so far are just 39% positive.

If robbing banks is too boring for you in the present, there could be an alternative for you in the future, in which the studio Starbreeze also has a hand: New co-op game could bring the action of Payday into the universe of Dungeons & Dragons.
