There were plenty of chances for Arsenal in the match. Among other things, Rosa Kafaji burned a great situation in the first half.
In addition, Häcken goalkeeper Jennifer Falk was forced to make a cannon save when Beth Mead was in the penalty area.
But the London club was unsuccessful.
“Everything went according to our match plan”
Tabby Tindell, recruited from Kristianstad for this season, would step forward for the home team. In the 77th minute, the American scored the only goal of the match and Häcken took home the victory with 1–0. It was Tindell’s first complete hit in the yellow and black jersey.

– It was a tough match and we had to work hard in defence. But at the same time we knew there would be chances for us too. Everything went according to our match plan, says Tabby Tindell to SVT Sport.
Good location for the return next week
The Gothenburgers now have a good starting position for the return, which will be played next week on Thursday in London. The winner after the double meeting is ready for the group stage in the Champions League.
– It will be a bigger challenge when it is not our home field and playing in an atmosphere we are not used to, but we will take everything good from this match and get as ready as we can be, says Tabby Tindell.
From Arsenal’s side, it was of course a big disappointment.
– It is a result we did not want. I’m more disappointed with the result than the performance. We knew it was going to be tough. We do well in certain periods, but the result is disappointing, says Arsenal’s coach Jonas Eidevall to SVT Sport.
