A late-night TV show like TV Total lives from its presenter. There are voices that claim that TV Total has lost its shine with the departure of Stefan Raab – but that is not the case. Sebastian Pufpaff is likeable and can convey Raab’s style – even if not quite as biting – with his own profile. The problem is the format.
Stefan Raab was always at his strongest when he stepped out of his everyday role as an entertainer: whether as producer of the German entry in the Eurovision Song Contest, as one of the presenters of the 2013 TV duel or as host of numerous unorthodox sporting events.
