Lasse Granqvist is one of Sweden’s most popular presenters.
But Per Svartvadet has not always been impressed.
Once the profile was completely sad – and saw Granqvist during prime time.
Per Svartvadet is one of the SHL’s big profiles, but in recent years he has been an expert on Radiosporten. In August, however, Svartvadet, who has been greatly praised and liked for his efforts in radio, announced that his time at Sveriges Radio is now over, after five years on the job.
New colleagues
Not long after, newspapers came out with information that Svartvadet was instead relevant for TV4, with a job as an expert during the channel’s broadcasts in the SHL and Hockeyallsvenskan. A void was left after Niklas Wikegård chose to step into Djurgården as sporting director.
Per Svartvadet does not want to call himself Wikegård’s replacement, but it is clear in any case that Svartvadet, who belonged to Modo throughout his career and appeared in an incredible 662 SHL matches, is a new expert in television. And then he becomes, among other things, a colleague with Lasse Granqvist, one of Sweden’s by far the most meritorious and popular presenters. Just Svartvadet and Granqvist actually shared a classic and funny moment during the former’s active career.
The sawing in live broadcast
During a match between HV71 and Modo, the score was 0-0 before the second period, and Lasse Granqvist had some problems when he read out the results in all the other matches. Svartvadet noticed that – and then the sawing was right away.
– First, you seem to have problems keeping track of the results… did you celebrate well, didn’t you?, asked Svartvadet.
When Lasse Granqvist then asked about a free position that Svartvadet missed, he replied:
– If you knew your hockey lessons, you would have seen what happened. The puck slipped a little and then, he replied.
Later, after the match, Per Svartvadet was interviewed again. And this time he couldn’t keep himself from sending a pass either, when Granqvist asked if it was a bad match because it ended 0-0 after three periods.
– No, I don’t think so. There are a lot of chances and if you are interviewed twice and don’t score a goal, it’s quite fun too.
