Sweden’s Foreign Minister Maria Malmer Stenergard (M) and Justice Minister Gunnar Strömmer (M) will go to the Turkish capital Ankara on Wednesday.
There they will start the countries’ security dialogue. Among other things, the ministers will discuss gang crime and the fight against terrorism, according to a press release.
At the NATO summit in Vilnius last year, Sweden and Turkey agreed on a new conversation format, a security dialogue. Wednesday’s meeting will be the first time that the countries meet in that format.
