Richard Jomshof (SD) served suspicion of crime

During Tuesday morning, Richard Jomshof left the police interrogation and Aftonbladet’s reporter was on site outside.

– It is a new experience and I have answered the questions as best I can and given my version of what happened, says Richard Jomshof.

Richard Jomshof, who took a break from his role as chairman of the Riksdag’s justice committee, is now charged with incitement against a ethnic group.

Jomshof: Do not regret the posts

Richard Jomshof tells Aftonbladet’s reporter that it does not feel good to be suspected of a crime. However, he does not regret sharing the posts.

– No, I don’t. I want to state that it is clear what they stand for, it is clear what I stand for on this issue.

“Must be able to make caricatures”

Both cartoons have similar messages. One shows how Europe generously lets Muslims into its house, whereupon the Muslims burn the house down.

The second shows how a Pakistani migrant in the sea is rescued by an Englishman, whereupon the Pakistani throws the Englishman overboard. The Pakistani holds an oar that says “Rape Jihad”.

– You have to be able to make caricatures and share caricatures even in matters that are sensitive or perhaps even above all in matters that are sensitive, because if you can’t do that, I would say that the degree of democracy decreases radically, says Richard Jomshof.

“Now it’s up to the prosecutor”

Now it’s up to the prosecutor whether charges should be brought or not, says Richard Jomshof.

– Hopefully it will be shut down, I don’t think I have done anything wrong. I am very critical on certain issues and you have to be, and I stand by that.
