The Competition Authority launched an investigation into two companies operating in the cinema sector (Mars Entertainment Group AŞ and Cj Enm Medya Film Yapım ve Dağıtım AŞ).
Briefly about this topic, “With the decision numbered 24-27/656-M dated 27.06.2024 of the Competition Board (Board), it was decided to conduct a preliminary investigation pursuant to the first paragraph of Article 40 of the same Law regarding the claim that MARS violated Article 6 of the Law No. 4054 on the Protection of Competition by abusing its dominant position in the cinema exhibition services market in the production and distribution services market. Within the framework of the information and documents obtained during the preliminary investigation process and the examinations conducted; the Board, in its meeting dated 22.08.2024, found the findings serious and sufficient and decided to launch an investigation into MARS and CJ ENM with its decision numbered 24-34/822-M.” Description done.
