Donald Trump has been subjected to a suspected assassination attempt.

The incident occurred on Sunday at the former president’s golf course in Florida.

Here are five points about the incident.

1. Reported shooting

On Sunday, Donald Trump’s team announced that there had been a shooting at the ex-president’s golf course in Florida. Trump was not injured and was immediately taken to safety, according to the team.

2. The Secret Service opened fire

According to AP sources, the ex-president was on the course’s fifth hole, 400 meters from the site, when the Secret Service spotted a person sticking the barrel of his weapon through the fence. Then the bodyguards should have opened fire.

3. Fleeed the scene

The gunman fled the scene in a car. Shortly afterwards, the car was stopped in another district and the person was arrested by the police. A bag containing a body camera and an AK-47 rifle was found near the golf course.

4. Classified as attempted murder

No one was injured in the shooting. The incident is classified as attempted murder and it is now being investigated by the FBI.

5. An Arrested

One person has been arrested after the shooting, according to the sheriff, the arrest must have taken place “with lightning speed”. The shooting occurred two months after Donald Trump was shot in the ear during a campaign speech.
