The US presidential candidate Donald Trump is unharmed and safe after a shooting that his campaign says happened near where he was. Reuters reports.

“President Trump is safe after shooting near him. No further details at this time,” says Trump campaign spokesperson Steven Cheung in a statement, CNN reports.
The campaign currently has no additional information.
CNN also reports that Trump is staying in Florida over the weekend.
