After gathering 1.5 million spectators in France and raking in $346 million worldwide, this action comedy starring Brad Pitt is finally being broadcast on television, in the clear, this weekend.

Directed by former stuntman David Leitch (The Fall Guy), the plot follows a hitman in the midst of an existential crisis who accepts a seemingly simple mission: retrieve a mysterious suitcase from the Shinkansen, the bullet train that connects Tokyo to Kyoto, and get off at the next stop. But he will quickly discover that other ultra-violent killers also have missions to accomplish during this journey, and nothing will go as planned for anyone. The question now: which one will make it out alive and make it to Kyoto Station? This film is Bullet Train.

Brad Pitt plays a hitman in the midst of an existential crisis with a casualness that is only his secret. A hilarious character, opposite Aaron Taylor-Johnson, who proves in this film that he has all the qualities to be an excellent James Bond. Rumors are circulating that he has been chosen to play the next 007, but nothing has been confirmed yet. They are also joined by Joey King (The Kissing Booth), Brian Tyree Henry (Atlanta, The Eternals), Andrew Koji (Warrior), Michael Shannon (Man of Steel) or Sandra Bullock (The proposal, Bird Box).

At the time of its release on August 3, 2022, the French press had been relatively won over by Bullet Trainthe film garnering a press rating of 3.2/5 on Allociné. Le Parisien describes it as a “hair-raising entertainment between humor and violence” while Les Inrocks hails it as a “joyful Grand Huit behind closed doors”. The public is even more won over since this high-speed action comedy garners a rating of 3.9/5 on the French review aggregator. Bullet Train is to be discovered on the TV program this Sunday, September 15. It is broadcast on TF1 from 9:10 p.m.
