Missile hits central Israel Houthis hit the country in the

While Israel’s massacre in Palestine continues, the ongoing conflicts with Lebanon and Yemen are increasing tensions in the Middle East. Finally, a ballistic missile was fired from Yemen to Israel. The Houthis, who claimed responsibility for the attack, said, “Geographic barriers (long distances), US-British aggression and espionage and intervention systems will not prevent Yemen from supporting Palestine.” Some Israelis who heard the sirens sounding after the missile were injured while trying to escape to shelters.

SIRENS SOUNDED AT THE FIRST LIGHT OF THE MORNING

The Israel Defense Forces announced that a ground-to-ground ballistic missile was launched from Yemen towards Israeli territory this morning. Sirens were heard in the country at around 06:30 local time following the missile attack.

FELL IN THE CENTER OF ISRAEL

According to local sources, the missile fell in an open area in the Ben Shemen forest in the country’s centre, and fragments from the missile caused a fire about 6 kilometres from Ben Gurion Airport. Shrapnel from the interceptor missiles damaged a train station in Modiin, about 25 kilometres east of Tel Aviv.

In a statement made by the Israeli National Emergency Service Magen David Adom (MDA), it was stated that 9 people who tried to go to shelters while the sirens were sounding due to the attack were slightly injured and were treated.

Israel has launched an investigation to determine why the missile was not prevented from entering Israeli airspace and whether the missile was partially intercepted by its air defense system.

The Iranian-backed Houthis in Yemen said the missile attack showed that Israel’s airspace was completely defenseless against attack.

STATEMENT FROM THE HOUTHIS: ENEMY DEFENSE COULD NOT INTERCEPT OUR MISSILE

In a video statement published on his X account, the Houthi military spokesman Yahya Seri stated that they carried out a qualified military attack on Israel with a new “hypersonic” ballistic missile, and noted the following:

“The missile managed to reach its target by covering an estimated distance of 2,40 kilometers in approximately 11.5 minutes, and enemy defenses were unable to prevent this.

“Geographical barriers (long distances), US-British aggression and espionage and intervention systems will not prevent Yemen from supporting Palestine. Our air force conducted a qualified military operation against a military target in the occupied city of Jaffa in Palestine.”

ATTACK ANGRIED NETANYAHU: HE THREATENED THE HOUTHIS

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu made statements to the press regarding the missile attack and the situation on the Israel-Lebanon border. Threatening the Iranian-backed Houthis in Yemen, who announced that they attacked Israel with a new hypersonic ballistic missile this morning, Netanyahu said, “No one who attacks us will be able to escape our weapons.”

“The Houthis should have known by now that we will pay a heavy price for any attempt to harm us. Those who need a reminder can visit the port of Hodeidah,” Netanyahu said.

Stressing that the current status quo on Israel’s northern border will not continue and that a change in the balance of power is needed in the region, Netanyahu said they will “do everything” to return the region’s residents to their homes.

HOUTHIS BREAK THROUGH ISRAEL AIR DEFENSE FOR THE THIRD TIME

The Houthis have targeted Israeli territory with ballistic missiles, cruise missiles and drones in the last 11 months, and most of their attacks have been thwarted. However, the Houthis have managed to bypass Israel’s air defense system twice before.

A Houthi cruise missile fell in an open field near the city of Eilat in March, and a 50-year-old man was killed and four people were injured in a drone attack on Tel Aviv in July.
