Russia broke Ukraines supply base in the Kursk region

The Russian forces are now packed into a long and narrow strip inside the Ukrainian forces.

On Wednesday, Russia launched a strong counter-offensive in the Kursk region, which Ukraine captured from Russia.

In mid-August, Ukraine had succeeded in getting the Russian forces south of the Seim river into a supply embargo by cutting the bridges over the river.

The attack had two directions. The first blow pushed the Ukrainians out of the town of Korenevo, located on the east bank of the Seim River, and Russia regained land contact with the besieged forces.

At the same time, another division attacked from the southeast direction, from the village of Snagost, and advanced several kilometers inside the Ukrainian line.

Russia used its elite forces in the attack. Research institute The Institute for the Study of War says based on his sources that there were both landing forces (51. Maahanl.R) and marines (155. Merijv.Pr.)

At the same time, Ukraine is said to have started an attack from the south of the former motte area, says for example Ria Novosti news agency Referring to the Russian Ministry of Defense.

It should be noted that the attack wedge directed by Russia from Snagost to the village of Ljubimovka is no less than seven kilometers long, but only two kilometers wide. So it is very vulnerable if Ukraine has the power to attack its sites.
