Shortly before 08:00, the police were alerted to a traffic accident in central Gävle. At the scene, it turned out that a motorist had given way to a person on an electric scooter and driven into a concrete wall.
The driver is said to have escaped unharmed, but the car is no longer drivable, the police say.
The person who drove the electric scooter left the scene and is now suspected of, among other things, the infection.

The floods in Poland have been ravaging for several days.
1,600 people have been evacuated in the Kłodzko district in Poland, the country’s Prime Minister Donald Tusk announced.
He also announces that the floods have had their first victim.

At least eight migrants have died after trying to cross the English Channel, French police say.
According to the French Le Figaro, the migrants must have tried to cross the channel on the night between Saturday and Sunday.
Less than two weeks ago, twelve people died in the same area after a boat carrying 70 migrants capsized on its way to Britain.
Before the night’s accident, 37 people had died in the canal since January, writes Le Figaro.
Norska Se og Hør published on Tuesday an audio recording of a conversation between the police and bonus prince Marius Borg Høiby.
Until now, Høiby’s defender Øyvind Bratlien did not want to comment on the publication.
– Høiby has recorded the conversation. He never sent this to anyone. It should therefore not be possible for Se og Hør to obtain this legally. There is therefore reason to question several aspects of the legality of this. We are therefore considering a report, says Bratlien TV2.
On Friday evening, a truck pumping oil from a ship suffered a leak in Iggesund’s harbor in Hudiksvall.
Around 400 liters of oil should have subsequently flowed into the water.

A three-story apartment hotel in Skellefteå has caught fire and residents have had to evacuate.
– The whole building will have to burn down. Between 15 and 20 people have had to evacuate. The apartments must be empty, says Sebastian Benitez, alarm and line operator at the rescue service.
One person has been taken to hospital by ambulance. The extent of the damage is unclear.
– We have an exactly the same building that is close by, so we are working to prevent the fire from spreading there, says Sebastian Benitez.
Around 15 units from the rescue service are on site.
Mikael Granström runs the apartment hotel which houses guest workers from various companies in the city, including the battery giant Northvolt.
– At first I thought it was a hunter who needed help with an injured moose when they called. Now I have to digest this before I can say anything, says Granström.
During the night of Sunday, a car drove off a bridge on the E45 in Arvidsjaur and continued into the water.
– It has stood with its rear end down in a river. We have been there to check for any leakage. Rescuers have been ordered to retrieve the car, says Ida Mikkonen, emergency line operator at the rescue service to Aftonbladet.

The extent of the injury is unknown.
According to the police, the car did not end up far down in the water.
A 35-year-old man was robbed in his hotel room in Östermalm during the night towards Sunday.
The police state in a news release that he “was visited by a woman unknown to him” when two strange men entered the room and robbed him of various belongings.
– They have met somewhere and then they would hang out in the hotel room. We suspect that the woman has worked in collusion with the two robbers, says Daniel Wikdahl at the police’s regional command center.
The man was beaten during the robbery and then sought help at the hotel’s reception. He is not seriously injured.
The woman and the two men disappeared and were searched for during the night by the police.
– We have a certain description and are looking for surveillance cameras, among other things, says Daniel Wikdahl.
A man in his 40s was taken to hospital by ambulance after a knife cut outdoors in Härnösand on Saturday evening.
The police were alerted at 10:18 p.m. and were later able to arrest two men in their 30s. One is suspected of attempted murder and the other of aiding and abetting the same crime.
The stabbed man was awake and talking when he went to the hospital.
On Sunday morning, the police announced that the two arrested men had been arrested.

A teenage girl was hit by a car at a pedestrian crossing in Huddinge during the night towards Sunday.
The police and ambulance helicopter were called a few minutes before midnight.
– The pedestrian is really badly injured, says Daniel Wikdahl, press spokesperson at the police’s regional command center.
