Here, celebrity daughter Ella Knapp Johnson panics in Idol

17-year-old Ella Knapp Johnson suffers from stage fright. But in the hope of overcoming the fear and being able to realize the dream of working with music, she is now one of the applicants in “Idol”. Ella is the daughter of the artist Anderas Johnson.

– There has always been music around us, both my grandfather and grandmother were jazz musicians, father is an artist. I can’t imagine having it any other way, says Ella in the program.

In one feature, we see how Ella is supported by father Andreas, who notes that Ella was just over two weeks old when she was allowed to go on her first tour.

– I have learned an incredible amount about what life is like as an artist and what it is like behind the scenes. But it doesn’t help one bit when it comes to my stage fright or my confidence. Having very high demands on yourself can be very harmful in the long run, above all it has affected the music, says Ella.

She explains how it feels when stage fright strikes.

– The first sign is usually that my legs start to shake, and it feels like I can’t stand up. Then it becomes difficult to breathe and the heart begins to beat as if you have run a marathon. It’s a bit like having a panic attack, says Ella.

– You can’t control what you say, how it sounds, how you move, she continues.

And it is immediately reminded when Ella steps in to the jury. She can’t quite control her voice or her body, which shakes, comes off, and breaks down afterwards.

– You don’t look at us once, if I’m going to give you anything, it’s that you should believe in yourself, says Katia Mosally.

– Stand up straight, own it. It’s okay, this means something, that’s why you’re crying, she continues.

Finally moves on

Ella gets three yeses and one no from the jury.

– But it is hardly likely that you will get a yes from me, says Anders Bagge.

But that she has something that they want to see more of is a given.

– It felt a little different. I felt like there was a little superstar in there who just needed a little push, says Peg Parnevik.
