38 years later, this is still the coolest hockey penalty ever

When it comes to legendary hockey movies, many probably hold “Slagskott” as the very first and most iconic. But in a given second place, many nostalgics probably choose the unforgettable cult film “Youngblood”.

Iconic hockey movie

This year marks 38 years since Youngblood was released and became a huge hit with all hockey fanatics. Where we get to follow a young Dean Youngbloodportrayed by the actor Rob Lowewho dreams of reaching the NHL.

His journey begins in the Canadian junior club The Hamilton Mustangs and the big rival team is called the Thunder Bay Bombers. And one can safely say that it is noticeable that the film is from the 1980s, but the cult factor is still sky high.

Unforgettable punishment

The highlight of the entire film, and the most memorable scene to this day, is the brilliant punishment (in slow motion) that the protagonist Youngblood inflicts, see it below. Realistic? Well, maybe not, but still unforgettable.
