It was in August 2017 that “Arvinge okänd” premiered for the first time and the SVT viewers got to follow along Kattis Ahlström and Niklas Källner as they travel the world to find unknown heirs, who can both get long-awaited answers and in some cases also large sums of money.
Since the premiere, a lot has happened. The program has, in both 2018 and 2019, been nominated in the category “Lifestyle program of the year” at the Kristallen gala and nominated for the Stora Journalistpriset in the category “Narrator of the Year” in 2018.

Despite prestigious nominations and brilliant viewing figures, it was clear in 2021 that “Heir Unknown” would be put on hold.
– It is an incredibly demanding project, every single episode is like a documentary with trips all over the world. We felt we need to take a break and regroup a bit. Nobody wanted to go straight into another new season, a fifth season, he explained Christina Hillprogram manager at SVT, for The evening paper when.

But towards the end of spring this year, Kattis Ahlström came with a long-awaited announcement.
“Here at the fantastic Storkällan burial ground and saying goodbye to yet another person whose story we try to tell with great humility. From Estonia via Nacka to the coldest part of Canada we finally land here and hopefully now everyone involved can find some peace of mind. We see you this fall in Arvinge Okänd!”, wrote the presenter in a post on Instagram.
And the reactions were not long in coming.
“Can’t wait for the show to start! Missed it,” one viewer wrote in the comments section.
“So exciting that there will be more programs like this,” wrote another.

While it was all a new experience for Levengood, Ahlström has four seasons under his belt. But is there a particular event or person from the program that she carries with her a little extra? News24 the host asked just that.
– Every case has its inherent drama, so I would probably say that all of them stuck with me in one way or another. But I particularly remember a boy with Down syndrome who was left alone in Sweden when his parents emigrated to the United States.
The case Ahlström is referring to was depicted in the episode “The Boy Left Behind”, which was about Richard Lewkowiez and who was nominated for the Stora Journalist prize in the category “Storyteller of the Year” in 2018.

Ahlström continues:
– We found evidence that the mother tried on several occasions to get him over to America but he was refused entry due to his medical condition. In Sweden, however, there were fantastic staff at the accommodation he was in and in the end he was vindicated and could be reburied in the Jewish cemetery where he belonged, which no one knew before.
– It was incredibly nice to experience how the Jewish community received him and his story.
