With a mix of cutbacks, reforms and tax increases, the municipality of Utrecht presented the budget for next year today. Alderman Susanne Schilderman (D66) speaks of “financially difficult times”. Nevertheless, this board wants to continue investing in the weaker members of society and the climate goals. To achieve this, the total burden for the citizen will increase by 23 million euros.
