WoW grants all Sylvanas fanboys a wish – lets you look like the dark princess

A long-held dream is finally coming true. You will soon become Sylvanas Windrunner in World of Warcraft and can pay homage to the Banshee Queen.

If the game world of World of Warcraft has one thing, it’s great characters with a lot of backstory. Regardless of whether you like the story of the last expansions – almost everyone knows characters like Arthas, Thrall or Sylvanas, even if it’s just their appearance.

However, it is precisely this look that is sought after and many wish to be able to look like these characters in World of Warcraft. At least in the case of Sylvanas Windrunner, this will soon happen.

What was found? The data miners at wowhead have already found a transmog set in the game data for patch 11.0.5 that should appear in the trading post in the winter months. The “Ensemble: Dark Ranger General’s Kit” will currently cost a whopping 850 merchant currency, but will give you the complete look of the Banshee Queen.

This is the armor that Sylvanas wore between Wrath of the Lich King and Legion – the midriff-baring outfit that was later replaced by a more concealing version.

For anyone who has always wanted to play as a Dark Lady and who already plays as a Dark Ranger in the game, this could be the fulfillment of a long-held wish.

Is this normal in WoW? It’s rather unusual in World of Warcraft that you can get exactly the same equipment that well-known NPCs wear on their bodies – apart from direct loot that a boss in the raid can drop, such as Garrosh and his infamous shoulder pads.

Something like this already existed in part with some items, such as some items that were based on Medivh.

But the fact that there is now a whole set with which you can basically recreate Sylvanas’ look 1:1 is a new thing.

However, since this is Sylvanas’ “old” model and therefore equipment that she hasn’t used for many years, this step should have been easier.

When will the set be released? There is no specific release date for the transmog set yet. However, since it was found in the game data of patch 11.0.5, it will probably not load into the trading post until November at the earliest – or in the months that follow. Note, however, that this information is not yet final and the price or release window may still change. It is also conceivable that the set will end up in the regular shop – even if that seems unlikely, since it already has a clear value assigned in trader currency.
