iPhone 16: This expert advises waiting for this date before buying your new iPhone

iPhone 16 This expert advises waiting for this date before

According to one of Apple’s top experts, you’re better off waiting until September 2025 before buying your next iPhone. The iPhone 16 was designed to stabilize sales, without really changing much…

Apple’s Keynote, held this Monday, September 9, had not yet started and everything was already known about theiPhone 16 or almost. Mark Gurman, a renowned journalist specializing in Apple for Bloomberg, had already delivered his analysis on the brand’s next flagship, expected this fall. With his internal sources and his in-depth knowledge of the Cupertino firm, he announced that this new model is not a revolutionary smartphone.

As every year, rumors and expectations have been high around this next generation ofiPhone. Bigger screen, new colors, dedicated camera button, more powerful A18 chip, enhanced artificial intelligence… The supposed new features of the iPhone 16, presented with great fanfare last night, are already making fans of the Apple brand salivate.

However, Mark Gurman tempers this enthusiasm. According to him, while the iPhone 16 certainly brings its share of improvements, it is not a major revolution compared to the iPhone 15 released last year. Apple would rather bet on a “transitional iPhone” this year, aiming to stabilize its sales in the next 12 months before the arrival of more innovative models in 2025. He would even advise waiting until September 2025 and a new Keynote to launch.

A more revamped version of the iPhone in 2025

The Bloomberg reporter elaborates on his reasoning: “If you have an older iPhone, these are nice upgrades, but probably not essential. I don’t expect the new models to be a gold rush for Apple. And based on its latest financial forecast, the company doesn’t expect one either. It declined to give an iPhone growth forecast for the current quarter. If Apple was expecting a significant increase, we probably would have had some indication.”

If you have an iPhone 14 or iPhone 15, which are already excellent devices, your best bet is to wait until next September and the iPhone 17. This is the model on which Apple should introduce breakthrough innovations: an all-screen design with no borders, a periscope zoom, more advanced satellite connectivity, a chip with revolutionary architecture… And above all, an ultra-thin “Air” version, inspired by the revolution introduced by the MacBook Air in the world of portable computers a few years ago. In short, a real leap forward.”

The expert qualifies his statement by specifying that the iPhone 16 remains a very good choice for those who have an older model (iPhone 13 or earlier). But for owners of recent iPhones, waiting one more year seems to be the most judicious strategy, both technically and economically.
