Apple has just unveiled its new iPhone 16, which will be released in the next few days. The latter are proving to be quite stingy with new features in Europe, but Apple has nothing to do with it.

Apple took advantage of its latest keynote on Monday, September 9 to unveil in length and breadth its new iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max. What’s new in the iPhone 16?
This year, here we go again: Apple is presenting four iPhone models. First, we find the classic iPhone 16 as well as the iPhone 16 Plus, which take up most of the elements of the previous ones. iPhone 15 Pro and is therefore equipped with the “action” button. The latter can be configured to launch the shortcut or application of your choice. It is even possible to launch an instant translation!
But the iPhone 16 doesn’t just have one new button. Below the On/Off, you’ll also find the new “capture” button. The latter is not physical but haptic. So understand that you won’t be able to press it hard, like the main button on old iPhones that could only be “activated”. This “capture” button allows you to use the iPhone 16 like a classic camera by pressing it to take a picture. You can also “double tap” it to open the camera options or slide your finger to adjust the zoom. This should prove very practical on a daily basis!
The other design change comes from the cameras of the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus. The latter now have two sensors placed vertically as was the case for the old iPhone 11 or 12. This allows the iPhone 16 in particular to produce spatial videos that can be viewed with an Apple Vision Pro headset.
As has been the case for a few years now, the iPhone 16 Plus has the same new features as the classic iPhone 16, but in a larger format and with a better battery than its basic counterpart.
Power-wise, the iPhone 16 features the new A18 chip, which Apple claims is a 15-20% jump in power over the previous generation. However, it will be necessary to test this on games and demanding operations to verify this.
Apple spent most of its evening highlighting its artificial intelligence called “Apple Intelligence” and directly integrated into the iPhone 16. Unfortunately, the latter will not be available in Europe at its launch due to European regulations. Apple has already announced that its AI will only be available in English in 2024 and will offer other languages next year.
What’s new in the iPhone 16 Pro?
In addition to the classic iPhone 16 and the iPhone 16 Plus, Apple spent a large part of its keynote on Monday, September 9, unveiling the new iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max. The latter first take up the new features of the first two models, but add a few exclusives to encourage their purchase.
First off, the iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max are larger than their predecessors with displays ranging from 6.3 to 6.9 inches for Apple’s largest iPhone ever. Four colorways are also announced with black, white, natural gray, and sand gold.
Still on the design front, the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max feature a new A18 Pro chip for an increase of almost 20% in performance compared to the chip that equips the iPhone 15 Pro.
On the camera side, the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max are equipped with an additional photo module. The latter goes from 12 to 48 Mpx for the ultra wide angle and a better focal length. You should therefore capture more light and small details compared to the sensor that equips the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max. The optical zooms will be able to go up to x5.
For video, Apple has announced that its iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max will be compatible with LOG mode to be able to export your footage and edit it more easily with your favorite software. It will also be possible to film in 4K quality with 120 FPS for maximum fluidity!
