The mystery surrounding the identity of “Celebrity Number 6” occupied more than 40,000 people on Reddit for over four years. Now one of the internet’s biggest mysteries has apparently been solved.
What kind of mystery was that? The identity of “Celebrity Number 6” puzzled the online community for 4 years. It all started in January 2020 with a post by Finnish Reddit user TonstaH.
In 2008, she bought a piece of fabric that featured numerous well-known celebrities from the early 2000s. The user wanted to use the power of the Internet to identify all of the celebrities depicted.
But while most of the stars were easy to identify, “Celebrity Number 6” remained a secret – until now.

Over 40,000 people wanted to reveal the secret
Why is this so special? The search for “Celebrity Number 6” has occupied tens of thousands of people over the years. A subreddit dedicated to the search has over 40,000 members. On TikTok, videos about Celebrity Number 6 have reached several hundred thousand views.
The aim was not only to identify the people depicted, but also to identify the exact photo that was used for the material.

To solve the mystery of number 6, users contacted the designers of the fabric, used image searches, artificial intelligence, enlisted the help of influencers and even combed through the stock photo site Getty Images (via Reddit).

When it comes to number 6, however, the community was not even in agreement as to whether it was a man or a woman. River Phoenix, Brad Pitt, Keanu Reeves, but also Kristen Stewart, Filippa Hamilton and Evangeline Lilly were among those discussed.
However, although many similar images were found, no one could determine the exact photo that had been used for the fabric.
Clever Reddit snoopers solve the mystery
So who was it? Behind number 6 was the Spanish model Leticia Sardá, as a Reddit user named “StefanMorse” apparently discovered. In a post on Reddit, he explains that he has been researching “lost media” for 2 years. This is media that is assumed to no longer exist: it is “lost”.
However, the person who tracked down the exact photo was another user under the name “IndigoRoom.” Once the model’s name was mentioned, IndigoRoom found the photographer of a magazine cover that at least looked similar to number 6.
The Reddit user then contacted the photographer of this cover, who actually remembered the model and made the original photo available (via Reddit). Apparently the image had been used without the photographer’s consent.
The model herself doesn’t seem to have much of an internet presence, which certainly made the search difficult.

What happens next? Many members of the community are now asking themselves this question. There are several posts in the subreddit in which users are asking themselves what they should actually do with their lives. After all, there are still many secrets waiting to be revealed in the “Lost Media” subreddit.
