A 16-year-old boy from Hyltebruk in Halland will be extradited to Denmark. It is clear since the Supreme Court decided not to review the extradition decision, reports Hallandsposten.

In Denmark, the teenage boy is suspected of attempted murder, but his lawyer has argued that the suspicions should be able to be investigated with the boy remaining in Sweden and, among other things, referred to several disabilities in his client as an argument against extradition.

The suspicions concern involvement in an incident where a Swedish man has previously been detained for possession of two hand grenades.

No, there is nothing to indicate that the “spy whale” Hvaldimir was shot to death. This is what Norwegian police are now saying after preliminary autopsy results.

Two animal rights groups last week firmly claimed that Hvaldimir was shot dead.

The organizations Noah and One Whale have reported suspected illegal killing, and have even stated that they saw at least one bullet lodged in the whale’s body.

But the information is rejected by the police district Sørvest in Norway.

    – No findings from the autopsy indicate that Hvaldimir was shot, says Amund Preede Revheim at the Sørvest police.

The injuries seen on the whale’s body were superficial, according to the police. This means that it is still unclear what caused his death. The final autopsy report will not be available until two weeks from now.

  • The government lowers the climate investment: “You can think that more money for everything is the solution”

The government promises a state budget which, unlike before, will lead to reduced emissions next year.

However, one of 2024’s biggest climate investments, Klimatklivet, will receive less money next year.

The investment is extended to 2030, but the grant is reduced by SEK 1.5 billion to 3.5 billion compared to 2024.

This despite the fact that the government calls the support “effective” in climate work.

    – It is central to ensure efficiency, then we judge that persistence is important, says Finance and Markets Minister Niklas Wykman (M).

So you had to lower the level to keep Klimatklivet?

    – No, but of course you don’t have to do that. But it must be ensured that taxpayers’ money is used as efficiently as possible.

Romina Pourmokhtari (L) says that the level of support remains high.

    – My focus as climate and environment minister is to reduce emissions and to reach our climate goals.

And you don’t do that through more money for Klimatklivet?

    – You can think that more money for everything is the solution, but I, as a liberal, absolutely do not. The question is what a reasonable level is. If you look historically, you will see that this government invests clearly and heavily in both Klimatklivet and Industriklivet.
