The new Lord of the Rings movie The Hunt for Gollum will return in Peter Jackson’s Middle Earth adaptation and will tell a story from the perspective of Sméagol aka Gollum. After Gandalf actor Ian McKellen was recently asked to do the role, Legolas actor Orlando Bloom has now taken the stage again with news of his possible return.
Will Legolas return to The Lord of the Rings in the new Gollum movie?
Andy Serkis will direct and play the lead role in the new movie The Lord of the Rings: The Hunt for Gollum. While the first information about the plot is still thin on the ground, an equally exciting question is who from the ranks of the old cast will return.
Orlando Bloom, who played Legolas in all three Lord of the Rings films by Peter Jackson and the last two Hobbit films, would like to return. biggest hurdle that as an elf he is not allowed to agehe has already spoken to Andy Serkis. Variety revealed Bloom 25 years after he first became Legolas:

Peter Jackson is on board as a producer for the Gollum film. The Lord of the Rings trilogy had already been groundbreaking in terms of computer effects at the beginning of the millennium, for example the motion capture process for the (digital) representation of Gollum. Whether The Hunt for Gollum will be able to do this with a believably rejuvenated Orlando Bloom using AI?
