Typhoon floods and landslides claimed several lives in Vietnam

Typhoon Yagi and the landslides and floods it caused have already claimed the lives of at least 24 people in North Vietnam. In addition, around 300 people have been injured.

On Monday, the country’s authorities warned of new floods and landslides.

Yagi has also caused extensive power and telecommunication outages in the northern parts of Vietnam. It is the strongest storm to make landfall in Vietnam this year.

Before Vietnam, the Yagi wreaked havoc in southern China and the Philippines.
