Philosophical views on disability with Marion Chottin and Bertrand Quentin

On the occasion of the end of the Paris Paralympic Games, the magazine Ideas offers you two philosophical perspectives on disability today with two guests, Bertrand Quentin and Marion Chottin, two of the rare French philosophers to be interested in this question.

One wrote: The Disabled, New Philosophical Reflections on Disability. A book published by Éditions érés in 2019.

The other: The blind man and the philosopher or how blindness gives food for thoughta work that Marion Chottin directed and was published by Éditions de la Sorbonne in 2009.

Where we will notably discuss the identity of “people with disabilities”, their place in society and the way they are viewed, and not just in stadiums.

Ideasevery Sunday with the best thinkers of our societies.
