  • In the US presidential election, there are only about seven states where either presidential candidate can win. These so-called balance states are Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, Arizona, Nevada, Georgia and North Carolina.
  • Pennsylvania is particularly important, as the candidate who wins the state gets up to 19 electoral votes. A total of at least 270 electoral votes are needed to win the elections held on November 5.
  • The Republican nominee Donald Trump and the Democratic nominee Terrible Harris are, according to opinion polls, practically level in Pennsylvania.
  • Harris’s campaign has invested a lot of money, especially in Lancaster County, where Republicans have traditionally received more votes.
  • Voters are chased all the way to their homes, because every vote is important. The Democratic campaign is trying to turn especially previously Republican, educated women into Harris voters.
