Mikael Renberg is one of Swedish hockey’s truly great players. Now he himself gets to choose who is Sweden’s best hockey player ever. And then he opts out of both Nicklas Lidström and Mats Sundin for another.
In the early 90s hit Mikael Renberg through as a great talent in Luleå. Which would lead to an early move to North America and the world’s best hockey league, the NHL.
Renberg’s career
Renberg made his debut for the Philadelphia Flyers in the 1993-94 season and it would be the start of a fine NHL career with a whopping 661 games and 464 points. Together with the teammates Eric Lindros and John Leclair formed a terrifying chain that went by the name “Legion of Doom”.
