Armand Duplantis has been in the hot air in recent weeks.
But even partner Desiré Inglander has caused great reactions.
Now “Mondo” breaks the silence about the commotion surrounding the girlfriend.
The last month has been absolutely incredible Armand Duplantis and probably the very best period of his career so far. At the beginning of August, the Swedish world star won another Olympic gold and that was the start of an incredible wave of success.
Duplanti’s success
On the same night as the Olympic gold, “Mondo” also broke a new Olympic record and a new world record with 6.25 meters. But that record didn’t last very long because just a few weeks later he also cleared 6.26 meters.

As a big and proper icing on the cake, Duplantis offered another display on Wednesday night when he defeated the running phenomenon Karsten Warholm in a historic 100-meter race.
Video with Desire
Lately the girlfriend has Desire Inglander also attracted a lot of attention with a video on the platform TikTok that received over 35 million views. A “forbidden” gesture in the sports world when only Olympians are allowed to wear their won medals and the English newspaper Daily Mail, Mondo may risk receiving criticism and nasty comments against him after the girlfriend’s talked about video. Now the Swedish pole vaulting giant breaks the silence and says exactly what he thinks about the video that has gone viral all over the world, see it below.
– TikTok is strange. It’s a weird app. I’m not into it that much. I post sometimes, but I just think it’s really weird. I like Instagram and X more. But it’s fun that it went viral and that we have it there, but it is what it is, he tells Expressen.
Duplantis is not at all affected by this action, which can be perceived negatively, but takes it all in stride. Or that he must have broken some unwritten rule.
– Who cares? I mean, you don’t have to follow all the rules. When you win the Olympics, you can do whatever you want, he says in the interview.
