Crazy finish in NFL season opener reigning champions narrowly

The season of the American football league NFL started early Friday morning Finnish time. The reigning champion Kansas City Chiefs opened their season with a 27-20 win over the Baltimore Ravens.

The NFL season kicked off in Kansas City, when last years’ dynasty team and reigning champion defeated the Baltimore Ravens 27-20 in their home arena, despite the drama of the final moments.

The Ravens were close to narrowing the game to 26-27 with a touchdown in the very last moments of the game, but Isaiah Likely drifted about a toe across the end zone before landing the catch. Likely stretched handsomely to brilliant by Lamar Jackson to input.

If the goal had been accepted, the away team would have been able to try to equalize with a kick goal. After video review, the touchdown was disallowed and the game ended with a jubilant storm of screams from the home fans.

The Chiefs led the game 20–10 before the final quarter. In the end, in the final quarter, both teams managed a touchdown and an extra point kick, as well as Baltimore’s kicker Justin Tucker scored a kick goal. Likely completed the Ravens’ touchdown just 13 seconds into the game.

Kansas City’s star quarterback Patrick Mahomes made club history in the match. He passed in the match Len Dawson’s as the all-time leading receiving yardage by a Chiefs quarterback. Mahomes threw for a whopping 291 yards in the game, and his career total now stands at 28,715.

Mahomes threw one touchdown when his 35-yarder found Worthy. At the same time, Ravens star quarterback Jackson’s dismal record against Mahomes continued. Jackson has faced Mahomes six times and won just once.

Mahomes’ most famous pair of radars Travis Kelce remained in the match in the dark. The violent wide receiver had 34 receiving yards on three attempts thrown to him.

In the stands of the match, we once again saw the usual stardom, when Kelce’s partner and pop music superstar Taylor Swift was cheering for the home team. The star artist encouraged Kelce and the rest of the team in his dugout, including Kelce Donna– with mom.
