According to the British Navy, one seaman has died in a helicopter crash in the English Channel overnight.
A Merlin Mk4 helicopter has crashed into the sea near the Dorset town. The pilot of the helicopter was practicing night flying operations and had taken off from the aircraft carrier HMS Queen Elizabeth.
No one else was killed or injured in the accident.
The British Ministry of Defense plans to conduct an investigation into the incident.
