Armand Duplantis is already European champion, world champion, Olympic champion and nine-time world record holder. Can you top it? Maybe not, but running 100 meters in 10.37 at least adds a new dimension to what the world star is capable of.
Rod Karsten Warholm in the 100-meter race
The big talking point in the athletics world has been a unique and odd duel, between two world record holders. In advance, many agreed Karsten Warholm as the favorite before the duel, as it was predicted that he would be faster out of the starting blocks. That was not the case. Armand Duplantis is considering changing sports
DN already reported in June that Mondo had a future goal, which was to run for Sweden’s relay team in the Finncamp.
– It has been a dream of mine for a long time to run the last leg in the Swedish relay team in Finnkampen and beat the Swedish record. We just have to work out the right lineup.
Mondo goes on to talk about his dream to one day compete in short running distances.
– I really like running, so who knows. I have run well in 60 meters. The European Championships would probably be my best chance.
However, the pole vault star emphasizes that he still has the thrill when it comes to pole vaulting.
