A great day for the French clan with twelve new medals, eleven of which were won in road cycling. Lamirault won a disappointing bronze medal when he was aiming for gold. In athletics, Pavadé finished 4th in the long jump competition while Adolphe qualified for the 100m final. In wheelchair tennis, the Houdet/Cattaneo pair will play for the bronze medal on Friday.

There will be no medal for Dimitri Pavadé for being 6 centimetres behind the American Wallace. He bit his last try.

Wallace’s 7.49 jump pushes Pavadé off the provisional podium, with just one attempt left for the Tricolore to win a medal.

Mpumelelo Mhlongo has just broken the world record in his T44 category by jumping 7.12 m. He remains however in 5th place in this final.

Adolphe on his semi-final victory: “There is a small gap between us, a small desynchronization which means that… We will rectify the situation for tomorrow. The most important thing tonight is to qualify for the final. In the 400m, Jeffrey Lami is my guide. In the 100m, it’s Charles. There will be a few small things to correct for tomorrow but we already know what. We will have to be vigilant tomorrow so as not to be surprised. We are focused and a final is something you run.”
