It had to happen and it was ultimately only a matter of time: the bitter failure of Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League and its $200 million loss finally have a consequence: the layoffs of its employees. According to our colleagues at Eurogamer who were contacted by some of its people affected by these job cuts, we learn that Rocksteady has taken the decision to lay off 18 people in the QA department, which would now have only 15 employees. It is often the team in charge of the quality assurance of a game that is the first affected in these restructurings. But other people in other departments are also affected, including a member who is currently on paternity leave, which will not help improve the image of the studio and even less of the parent company Warner Bros Games. The Rocksteady studio should recover from this monumental flop, since according to some LinkedIn pages, the English studio would already be working on a new game and this since June 2024, especially since job offers have been available since last May.
