Benoît Magimel’s home in Paris was reportedly burgled while the actor was away. The damage is estimated at €80,000, and the actor’s three César awards were stolen.

Benoît Magimel was the victim of a burglary in his home, located in the 16th arrondissement of Paris, we learned. BFM TV this Wednesday, September 4. According to the continuous news channel, the actor discovered the facts when he returned home on the evening of Tuesday, September 3, before filing a complaint.

The burglary allegedly took place while the actor was away from home, between August 16 and September 3. The estimated damage would be 80,000 euros, BFM TV also tells us. Among the stolen goods, there are several luxury watches, but above all the three Césars that the actor had won during his career.

Benoit Magimel won the award for best supporting actor in 2016 for his performance in Head held highand had won the Best Actor award twice, in 2022 (During his lifetime) and in 2023 (Pacification: Torment on the Islands). He is also the only French actor to win this award two years in a row.

An investigation opened

But this is not the first time that Benoît Magimel has been the victim of such a theft: the actor had already had luxury watches and designer handbags stolen in June 2023, also from his home. An arrest was then quickly made.
