The problem: he didn’t screw it back in (it doesn’t seem to go in), so my question: does it matter? I think so, but he won’t listen and I don’t want the PS4 to get damaged.
What is this missing part? The metal plate is usually installed as a cover for the mainboard in the PS4. The part ensures that less dirt gets into the PS4 and that sensitive components on the mainboard are protected. The part also serves as a heat shield inside the console.
