The stars of the attacking end of the England national team Cole Palmer, Ollie Watkins and Phil Foden miss the Nations League matches against Finland and Ireland, The English Football Association informs.

– The national team gathered on Tuesday, but after the evaluation, Palmer and Watkins returned to their club teams to continue recovering from their ailments. Foden did not come because of illness, the press release said.

Chelsea attacking midfielder Palmer, 22, injured his hamstring in a Conference League qualifier against Swiss side Servette on August 22 but has since played two Premier League games.

Aston Villa centre-forward Watkins, 28, has been nursing a minor injury and has played for around an hour each in the first three league games.

Palmer and Watkins were England’s best players at the summer European Championships, where the country lost 1-2 to Spain in the final match. Watkins scored a 2–1 winning goal in the semi-final against Holland from Palmer’s pass. Palmer, on the other hand, tied the final match against Spain at 1–1.

England face Ireland in Dublin on September 7 and host the Huhkaji at Wembley on September 10.
