The Rise of Windows 11: Why It’s the Choice for PC Gamers

The Steam survey shows Windows 11 reaching 50% market share (49.17% to be exact), a 3.36% increase from July 2024. This means that more PC gamers are abandoning Windows 10 and moving to Windows 11. One of the reasons behind this transition is that modern PC games and platforms, especially giants like Steam, Xbox, EA, and Ubisoft, are optimized for Windows 11.

While Windows 11 continues to struggle to become the most popular operating system among the general user base, PC gamers are steadily switching to the new version. In particular, the optimization of technologies such as DirectX for Windows 11 plays a big role in gamers’ preference for this operating system. For some gamers, switching to Windows 11 has become a necessity not only to benefit from the latest features, but also to stay up to date and play the latest games without any problems.
