The Israel Defense Forces announced that Ground Forces Commander Tamir Yadai resigned for “personal reasons.”
HE HAD BEEN ON DUTY FOR 3 YEARS
Yadai has been serving as commander of the land forces for the past three years. Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Herzi Halevi and Defense Minister Yoav Gallant approved Yadai’s request.
Yadai is expected to step down in the coming weeks, with no word yet on who will succeed him.
