Putin on a visit to Mongolia | News in brief

President of Russia Vladimir Putin is visiting neighboring Mongolia. He arrived in the country’s capital Ulan Bator yesterday.

The visit is interesting in the sense that Mongolia is a member of the International Criminal Court, ICC, which has issued an arrest warrant for Putin.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said last week that Russia is not concerned about the possibility of an arrest. According to Peskov, Russia and Mongolia discussed “all aspects of the visit”.
