When they tried to handcuff the man, a bystander got involved. He had no intention of keeping his distance. Pushing him away didn’t help either, so officers drew their batons, the police reported. Eventually, they managed to get both men under control. One man was arrested on suspicion of threatening with a knife. The 50-year-old bystander, also from Woerden, was arrested on suspicion of “not complying with an order or demand”.
