In the 7th season, The Rookie loses a cop who had been on board since the 4th season and who is part of the main cast from the 5th season onwards: Tru Valentino aka Officer Aaron Thorsen. It is not the first time that a series star has hung up his badge, which is why Fans are not nervous without reason.
Talia Bishop (Afton Williamson) and Jackson West (Titus Makin Jr.) were written out of the series in anything but an elegant manner. But an Instagram post from Valentino himself gives hope for improvement in this regard.
The Rookie dropout Tru Valentino gives hope for a reunion with his series character
In his message to fans, Valentino writes the following:
I will always cherish my time on The Rookie, but I couldn’t be more excited about what the future holds. I love the friendships and relationships I was able to form there. It was an incredible opportunity and I’m glad I had at least three seasons. Thank you to the best fans in the world. I know I don’t talk much, but I appreciate you all so much. You never know who might show up at the Mid-Wilshire Presidium again. Until then, 7 Adam 19, this is Officer Thorsen, over and out!
Firstly, it sounds like Aaron won’t just die in the line of duty and secondly, it sounds like he might make an appearance every now and then with Officer Nolan (Nathan Fillion) and co.
Fans still have painful memories of the kidnapping and murder of Officer West, for which, according to Collider, the actor was not even hired to shoot the death scene. Instead, a stunt double took over the series cop’s last job. One could almost call it a “dishonorable discharge.”
When is the 7th season of The Rookie coming?
Fans will have to wait a little longer for the seventh and Aaron-less season of The Rookie. It will not be broadcast on US broadcaster ABC until 2025 and does not yet have an official start date. Netflix currently has four seasons of the series. For seasons 5 and 6, you will have to turn to the streaming services WOW and Sky Go.
